Since 1980, HITS Theatre has engaged children in high-quality, performing arts education. Their nurturing atmosphere and trained instructors give students the opportunity to grow and perform, while learning life skills that will assist them far beyond the stage.
Already working with the non-profit on a project-by-project basis for a number of years, DMMD was contracted to HITS in 2018 to the update the Visual Identity which had been in place since the theatre was launched. We evolved the existing star icon into a colorful “spotlight” which became the visual foundation of the brand. The mosaic of colors and bold typographic treatment create a dynamic palette on which we were able to base a wide array of Marketing and Promotional Materials.
Working closely with HITS’ volunteer Board of Directors and Professional Staff, DMMD also assisted with messaging, and eventually applied the comprehensive brand to everything from Social Media to Event Signage and Fundraising Merchandise.
